Historical Town Tour - 2 hour tour - Hear about Captain Cook and how he and his crew spent seven weeks here in 1770 after the Endeavour was damaged on the reef. You will hear the real history while experiencing remote Cooktown.

Black Mountain Tour visit - Half-day tour - The Black Mountains - a pile of huge shiny black boulders, 1000 feet high, an area shrouded in mystery and featured in many Aboriginal legends. The spectacular Annan River Gorge. A visit to the famous Lion's Den Hotel

Coloured Sands - Half - day tour - View one of the most spectacular sand dune environments on Cape York. On the way visit Hope Vale Aboriginal Community. Enjoy a picnic lunch on a deserted beach before returning.

QAS offers 1 - 4 day small group accommodated 4WD tours or fly/drive tours to Cape Tribulation, Daintree, the Bloomfield track and Cooktown.

These tours have been carefully planned to capture Far North Queensland's diverse and awesome landscapes, whilst offering a genuine insight into its cultural and historical past. Enjoy a walk along the beach at Cape Tribulation,. marvel at the pristine beauty of some of the world's oldest rainforest in the Daintree World Heritage Region.

Day tours allow an exploratory visit to Cooktown. Tour starts with a flight to Cooktown over reef and rainforest. After a town tour and museum visit we proceed down the Coast Road through Cedar Bay and Bloomfield to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree World Heritage Region before our return to Cairns. Or return via the Lower Cape York outback including Mount Molloy, Mount Carbine, Palmer River, Lakeland Downs and the Annan Gorge.

Extended tours allow more time in Cape Tribulation and the Daintree World Heritage Region, a 1 or 2 night rainforest stopover can be enjoyed on our 3-4 day tour and includes Mossman Gorge and Port Douglas.
