The Lions Den Hotel has enjoyed a rich history since 1875. A landmark hotel with a wood & iron construction, famous for it's quirky decorations and walls adorned with visitors signatures. Wonderfully situated in a lush valley on the banks of the Little Annan river, with 4 unique Safari Lodges, 6 acres of camping (pet friendly), a swimming pool, children's playground, natural swimming holes, beautiful grounds all watched over carefully by the mysterious Black Mountain.

The Den provides fabulous food during opening hours & has a convenience store on premise providing essentials including Gas, Oils, some motor parts and all the things you may have forgotten. Come and join your host's Michael, Pam, Bree & Chris for next function, event, special occasion or just a well deserved break for the whole family!

Our magnificent grounds are the perfect setting for your camping pleasure. You have several options available to you. You can camp, use our lodges with your own bedding or we supply everything. The choice is yours. We can also accommodate large groups, provide breakfast, lunch or dinner, arrange picnic hampers or supply basic food items from our shop.

There is entertainment on 5 nights a week during the peak season (June-October), lots of day tours just minutes from the Den including waterfalls, abandoned mines, great fishing, national parks and excellent swimming in the croc free river at the rear of the hotel.
