Finch Hatton gorge cabins are situated in Eungella National Park 70kms west of Mackay and is an excellent place to spend some time on your way up to or from Cooktown. Experience a restful change in natural riverine rainforest away from your mobile phone, television and computer. Ideal for small groups and families.

Each self-contained holiday cabin, contains ensuites, complete cooking facilities and is screened for your privacy. Backpacker budget accommodation is clean and roomy with lockers for food and luggage. Linen is provided in cabins and budget accommodation. Camper and backpackers amenities include clean ablutions and laundry as well as fully equipped communal kitchen with gas, power and hot water. Power is also available for campervans and campfires are available on site.

The covered BBQ area overlooking a spring-fed creek is a great place for socialising or you can always find a quiet spot by the creek to relax. Cooking utensils are provided. Mungumby Lodge offers 10 spacious wooden bungalows with ensuite bathrooms and private patios. The bungalows are constructed seperately from each other and the main lodge building. The main building is spacious with open plan living areas right on the edge of the awesome Mungumby Creek and with direct access to our pool. All this is surrounded by large tropical gardens. We have no telephones in the rooms, however fax, email and message services are available. Television is not available due to location and available transmission. Nature is our entertainer.

Our guests enjoy great home cooking with daily menus, vegetarian meals and other dietry needs can be catered to but must be advised when booking. We can arrange picnic baskets for people heading on a walk for the day and have a fully licensed bar located in the main lodge.

Mungumby is surrounded by some very intricate and diverse Eco systems, during the day guests can take advantage of the numerous walking trails, exploring the adjacent World heritage listed rainforest and historic mining sites, secret waterfalls and jungle pools. To compliment the lodge, we also offer guided tours including guided bushwalking and 4wd adventures.
